Elliott seeks hearing after permission to appeal refused

Sir Stephen Sedley has refused our client, Paul Elliott, permission to appeal, following Dingemans J’s decision not to strike out the claim. He observed that to be a source may not be “morally inconsequential.”  His full reasons can be found here.

Sir Stephen made his decision solely on the basis of the documents in support of the appeal, which he described as “admirably argued”. We have asked the Court of Appeal to list the case for a hearing, where our client will have a further opportunity to ask for permission to appeal.
